Iran, Uzbekistan sign oil, gas and petrochemical MoU

During the meeting on Wednesday, 14th September 2022, Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji and Azim Ahmad Khojaf Acting Energy Minister of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in various energy sectors, reported the News Agency of Iran Oil Ministry.

The topics of MoU are as follows:

  • Joint implementation of petrochemical projects in Iran,
  • Carrying out geological and exploration activities in the field of oil and gas,
  • Supply of Iranian petrochemical products in Uzbekistan,
  • Exchange of crude oil and petroleum products,
  • Joint research for the development and commercialization of catalysts and chemicals for petrochemical plants,
  • Providing financial assistance and Supporting banking cooperation for the development of oil, gas and petrochemical industries in both countries,
  • Providing equipment needed by the oil and gas industry,
  • Cooperation in the field of creating and providing laboratory equipment and exchanging knowledge in the field of oil and gas chemical industries and training skilled human resources. / Iranoilgas
