{"id":32,"date":"2025-10-28T16:10:47","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T12:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/yancotrd\/en\/?p=32"},"modified":"2025-11-01T13:28:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T09:58:10","slug":"lorem-ipsum-dolor-sit-amet-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yancotrd.com\/en\/2025\/10\/28\/lorem-ipsum-dolor-sit-amet-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy\u2019s Eni Eying Iran Investments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi told Reuters that his company would start working again in Iran when it has been repaid investments previously made and when it understands the type of contracts Teheran will be offering.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are still in Iran\u2026 we never left\u2026 because they owe us a load of money and we are trying to recoup it \u2026 We\u2019ll come back when we will have recouped all our money and we know the contracts,\u201d Reuters quoted Descalzi as saying in a meeting with students.<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019re not in a hurry to go back but \u2026 we will restart work in Iran.\u201d<br \/>\nEni was involved in the development of several oil and gas projects in Iran before a series of US-led sanctions barred international oil corporations from investing in the country. The projects that the Italian energy giant was involved in Iran included the development of Phases 4 and 5 of the country\u2019s South Pars oil field as well as the development of Darkhovin, Doroud and Balal oil fields.<br \/>\nDescalzi visited Tehran in April 2015 for fresh investment talks with Iranian officials who included Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh.<br \/>\nEni would join its European rival Total if it moves ahead with plans to invest in Iran\u2019s oil industry. Earlier this month, Total signed a major contract with Iran for the development of Phase 11 of its South Pars field.
