Masoud Hassani, Managing Director of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) said, since inauguration, refineries located at South Pars field have injected 900 thousand cubic meters of sweet gas to the national gas network.

The official however reminded that SPGC had also supplied 21 thousand cubic meters of sweet gas to Pars Petrochemical Complex.

“So far, a total of 118 thousand million cubic meters of dry sour gas have been injected to the national pipeline network by the 4th South Pars Refinery,” he continued.

The official went on to state that South Pars Gas Complex also produces sulfur as a total of 4.260 thousand tons of the major product have been deployed to global markets.

Head of SPGC, while pointing to overriding importance of ethanol production and the growing demand for it in local petrochemical complexes, said output volume of the precious product approximately grew by 42.1 per cent once new refineries came on stream.
